Year Abroad and The Starting Off Project

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow (22/08/13) I will be flying out to France to start my year abroad. If you don't already know, I study French as part of a Combined Honours degree at Newcastle University. As part of a language degree, third years must spend a year in a country where the language they are learning is spoken. I will be spending my year abroad studying at L'Université François Rabelais de Tours. Tours is a medium sized town in the North West of France, but that is all I really know. I picked my destination university out of a hat, because I couldn't decide where to go! It looks really nice in pictures, but I'll find out very soon!

I don't have anywhere to live yet, and I need to open a bank account and sort out a phone contract; so I am going to be extremely busy! I'm sorry if I don't get much time to blog over the next couple of weeks, but I imagine it is going to be crazy (I have 7 flat viewings booked over 3 days to give you an idea). Don't worry, though. I will be back very soon, and I have some really lovely products to review, so I'll get those done soon. I will most likely do some posts on my year abroad. I really want to document it, because I bet it will be over in a flash, and I'd love to have something to remember it by. If you know anyone who studies a language, send them over this way, because I might have some useful information, not only about the town, but practical matters as well.

I am also taking part in The Starting Off Project. Steph from Steph's Inside Voice came up with an idea for a series of blog posts aimed at people who are don't have much experience in make up and skin care, which is a rough guide different types of beauty and skincare products. Here is the original post, if you'd like more information about it, or want to contact Steph to get involved. The first post is going live at 18.00 BST on 27/08/13 and will be all about skincare, so look out for that if you're interested.

So, that's all from me for now. You will definitely be seeing lots of new, and exciting posts in the near future. Stay tuned!
