Nautical Make Up Look

I've recently been inspired by all of the eye palettes for the Summer 2014 collections, which include lots of blue and turquoise hues. I actually really enjoyed the whole nautical theme from the Dior summer collection in particular, especially the nail varnishes. Even though I actually didn't buy anything from the collection, I decided to do a look based on the shades included in their Summer range with colours that I already own.

So, I started off buy putting Brulé from MAC all over my lid, and I put Quarry in the crease. I absolutely love this combination of colours as they are really easy to wear and you can pair them with just about anything. Next, I got Plumage from MAC, which is a dark bluish teal, and I put that in the outer corner and under my lower lash line. I then used a Sephora Colourful Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade Sailor's Kiss and used it to line my upper lashes before finishing off with Benefit They're Real Mascara. You could use a black liner, but I'm quite enjoying this electric blue shade at the moment!

To stick with the nautical theme, I paired this with some Lady Danger from MAC. Although, the eye look turned out a lot smokier than I'd anticipated, so I changed that for Nude Beige Rouge Volupté from YSL. I decided to include pictures with both lipsticks, because I can't work out whether Lady Danger is a bit much...That way, you can decide which one you prefer.
