Summer Favourites!

Just for the sake of variety I thought I'd tell you about some of the products I have been loving this summer. I'm steering clear of my usual smoky eye and instead applying colour to the lips and keeping everything else looking natural. Let's take a closer look.

Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in Brunettes

Guerlain are famous for their bronzers for good reason. This is absolutely fantastic: it is perfect for giving the face a bit of a glow, but not too shimmery. The combination of shades give a really convincing and subtle bronzed look.

Topshop Cream Blush in Flush

Swatch at the bottom, blended out at the top

This looks a bit scary in the palette, but it blends out to a really pretty pink. I prefer cream blushes to powder blushed because I think they look more natural. This adds a really healthy colour to the cheeks which is perfect for summer.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Pygmalion

I've already done a full review on this, but it is rooted firmly in my favourites for the summer. It's such a summery colour and the glossy finish is gorgeous. It makes your lips feel nice and soft, too.

Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in Flirty Orange

Flirty Orange on the left and a heavy swatch of the Guerlain Bronzer on the right.
This almost matte lipstick has a lovely creamy texture and is quite long wearing. Orange lipstick is really in at the moment and provides a fun alternative to red.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF 42 PA +++

This is a Korean BB Cream, which are mostly higher coverage than western BB creams and are more skin care oriented. I usually only apply this to the centre of my face and then blend out because I think it looks less cakey. This does have a greyish cast when first applied, but this settles down after a coupl of minutes, and looks really natural.

L'Oréal False Lash Flutter Waterproof

I suffer from hay fever, so waterproof mascara is an absolute must. Seeing as I haven't been wearing much eye make up, I don't have much need for a volumising mascara. This looks fab on its own which makes it perfect for days by the pool.

    1. It's such a good quality lipstick for £6, I think it was. I would compare it to a MAC lipstick actually (even in the sense it's slightly drying!!)
