The brushes came individually wrapped in plastic wallets and there are instructions on how to use the brush on the back, which is really useful. My first impression of the brushes is good: they seem well made and really soft. I got a couple of brushes from the studio line (£3.75 each) and one from the essentials range (£1.50 each). I believe they are all synthetic brushes and the studio brushes are made from Taklon, which is a synthetic fibre used for high quality paint and make up brushes which doesn't contain any proteins or allergens, which makes it hypoallergenic and cruelty free. Synthetic brushes are also more hygienic than animal hair brushes, because real hair has an irregular surface which traps particles which may not be removed by cleaning. Synthetic brush fibres don't have this problem, making them easier to clean.
Here's a list of the brushes I bought:-
- Small Precision Brush
- Contour Brush
- Angled Eyeliner Brush
- Eyeshadow "C" Brush
- Powder Brush
- Stipple Brush
- Blending Eye Brush (essential collection)
I got:-
- Waterproof Eyeliner pen in Coffee
- Duo Eyeshadow in Berry Mix
- Shimmer Eye Pencil in Grassy Green
- Shimmer Sheets in Bronze
- Blush in Glow
- Super Glossy Lip Shine in Strawberry
- Glitter Eye Shadow in Nature Girl
- Studio Lotion Wipes in Vanilla & Coconut
- Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Nude Pink
- Brightening Eye Colour in Silver Lining
- Mineral Lip Tint in Blush
I am particularly excited about the two eyeliners as I've been wanting an eyeliner pen and some bright eyeliner for ages. So, I will try these out during the next couple of days and do some reviews for you guys!
